Crash is a messaging platform. We don't verify listings, handle payments, or guarantee stays — you connect directly with the host or renter, and any agreement happens outside of Crash. A few habits go a long way.
Keep it on Crash
Use Crash messages until you both feel comfortable. If someone pushes you to move to another app right away, that's a flag.
Talk before you commit
A quick video call before signing or sending money is the simplest way to confirm the place and the person are real.
Pay smart
Crash never takes payments. You arrange rent directly with the other person. Avoid wires and crypto. Use a signed sublet agreement and a traceable payment method with proof of receipt.
Red flags
The price is way below market. The host can't show the place. They ask for full payment before you've seen it. Trust your gut.
